After a lot of hard work, we are pleased to announce the release of Taskwise 1.1. This release focuses on cleaning up all outstanding issues and bugs and increasing overall application stability both offline and online.
Taskwise 1.1 Desktop
The Taskwise desktop client includes a few new features such as task priorities, and notes, and is being rolled out with our first port of the Taskwise desktop application to OsX. The OsX version is identical to the Windows version, and includes a few modifications necessary to comply with OsX application guidelines. Currently Taskwise OsX only supports Jaguar (10.5) on Intel however we will release updates shortly to support 10.4 as well as PPC processors.
Taskwise 1.1 Online
Taskwise 1.1 Online includes all the new features and functionality found in 1.1 desktop along with full sync support for these features. So adding notes and priorities will sync both ways. We are also pleased to announce that we have completed the first release of the Taskwise file manager. This will allow you to upload files and store them safely online for easy access anywhere! The Taskwise file manager has a easy to use interface, support for both files and folders, and allows you to add notes to your files.
Taskwise 1.2 Development
The Taskwise 1.2 release is currently in development and the focus, along with ongoing stability of the current offerings, is on our contact manager which will allow you to share your tasks and files with your colleagues. We will also be adding alerts, alarms and task durations to help you stay on top of your deliverables as well as the option to work in secure mode at all times.
A full analytics and charting package is also in the works, along with chat/instant messaging support for the Taskwise client. We also plan to roll out background uploads and file syncs through the desktop client, however these features are slated for the 1.5 release.
We would like to say thanks to all the great help we have received so far from our beta testers, with your assistance Taskwise is becoming a awesome productivity suite!

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Taskwise 1.0! We have been working hard on building a task management tool that people will enjoy using and now that first beta release is out we are pleased to say that and people love it!
Our goal behind Taskwise is to create a tool that will help you to focus on the things you need to get done so that you can stay on top of your day to day tasks and deliverables. We also have a bigger goal, which is to have your computer start doing your tasks for you, but we have to roll things out one step at a time!
The core Taskwise product is based around the to-do list. To-do lists are powerful productivity tools being easy to use, easy to navigate, and when used properly they make it easy to see what.s done and what.s not at the end of the day.
The problem with to-do lists is that you usually end up with multiple lists in different locations. Lists at home, at work, on your phone, your laptop, your pc, on paper, on the whiteboard etc. After a while this becomes counter productive as you start to spend your time managing your lists instead of getting things done.
Taskwise is a multi-homed productivity management tool, meaning It can be installed and run in as many locations as you like, and it keeps all your information in sync via an online service called my.taskwise.com.

In addition to syncing your clients the my.taskwise.com service also includes a full online version of the application and includes cool features such as a report generator which let see what you got done, when.
We are constantly in the process of adding more features and have a hotlist of things we plan to roll out, hopefully by the end of the month, that people have asked us for including:
- online storage (for file sync)
- secure chat
- task sharing with other taskwise users
You can get a free copy of Taskwise if you sign up and take our survey. In order to make Taskwise accessible to as many people as possible we have decided to also release a trimmed back version called Taskwise Lite that will just have 1 list instead of multiple lists and will be a free download. We hope you enjoy using Taskwise, any increase in productivity makes a difference!
